In a statement uploaded to their Twitter page, which was promised yesterday, Black Isle Studios announced that Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance will (finally) release for Switch on Thursday, May 20th!

this has been rough, eh?Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance WILL release on Nintendo e-Shop on the 20th!
We know you have been upset about the delay. So have we. It’s been an unfortunate set of circumstances out of our control.
But the wait is nearly over!
Black Isle Studios did not reveal the reasoning behind the delay. They did however state in a Twitter Reply to a fan that the “certification for BG:DA passed ages ago and [had] no bearing on the delay…” after the fan stated that was the case.
